Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade Samir Sayyad on Sunday said the ministry is preparing new procedures that aim to encourage investment, particularly in small and medium-size projects.
He said the procedures would also help create more job opportunities to increase income and reduce poverty.
Speaking at a conference of the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Sayyad said the ministry would continue consolidating free market practices but also pursue social justice.
He also said the government will commit to all agreements signed with foreign states and economic unions, and sign new ones with developing markets.
The minister urged German companies to increase their investments in the Egyptian market.
